3 Big Things for Show & Tell!!!

3 Big Things for Show & Tell!!!

1. We are going to be on America's Funniest Home Videos this Sunday (3/25)! Look for the video where my daughter reaches for an Easter egg and gets a "hissing" surprise instead. (6 p.m. central time on ABC I think)

2. This Saturday is my Fort Worth Gallery Night art show. I have been painting like the wind. I'm really excited and of course I'll share pics of the unveiled paintings and the show when I return. : )

I hate that I'm so impatient. It's probably my worst trait. So before you see these pics and think you'd change the light fixture or window treatment...relax! I've already mentally taken care of it. Now I just need to physically take care of it. In fact that little china cabinet/secretary with early 90's crackle finish is just temporary. Something bigger and cooler is in the works (project #43 on the list...) and I am sooo excited to dive in.  I have an a-ma-zing light fixture already. But getting my overworked hubby to help me hang it is taking a backseat to bigger projects we are working on in the yard. I've been planning a big dining room re-do for quite some time! It's the room that everybody sees when they enter my home and I was tired of the dark black furniture. In my attempt to lighten things up I sold the black china cabinet. Funny enough, the sweet girl who picked it up took a look into the garage and said "Wow, you two are real project people huh?". That made me feel so good! Little does she know we're good project STARTERS...haha.

Here's a (Horrible) BEFORE ...
*I was rearranging...it wasn't always this disheveled

And  AFTER...

Like a breath of spring huh? I actually want to go into this room now! Thanks for reading, I have been reading all of your comments and linky party link ups. Thank you for hanging in there 'til things settle down over here in my little corner of the world.

I discovered your blog today through Savvy Southern style when I was posting a link.

I love your makeover and was surprised to read your an artist, I am too :). I paint huge linen canvases in oil of flowers. I would love to see some of your work, I am presuming the work on the side bar was yours, the cake, its really lovely. I find it hard to put dedication into my work, I am very sporadic but have been invited to exhibit this year so just starting out a series of works.

Would love for you to visit my blog and look at my paintings. I have also just added myself to your linky group and as a follower.

Do you have a website with your artwork on as I would love to see more?

I will be returning to keep up to date with your paintings so have signed up for updates.

You are an amazing artist girl!! I have been busy with my mom visiting, spring break, planning a big ranch party for hubby's office, and doing a wildlife plan for our ranch, and we have an offer on house in town that we have been trying to sell (My MIL's old house.) But I bet I haven't been nearly as busy as you have been. I wish you much success this weekend, and will try, try, try to remember to watch AFV Sunday night. My daughter loves that show.
